Measure Your Finger

1. Use a flexible measuring tape or length of string.
2. Wrap it around the finger you’ll wear your ring on—if you’re creating a ring stack, consider where on your finger the ring will sit. If using string, mark the point on the string where the ends meet with a pen.
3. Lay the string on a flat surface and use a ruler to measure the length (in inches or millimeters) up to the mark. Compare your measurement to the Queen oOf Hearts size chart to determine your ring size. If you are between sizes, opt for the larger size.

Measure an Exiting Ring

A helpful method if you’re surprising someone with a gift or treating yourself.

1. Choose a ring that already fits your finger well.
2. Measure the interior diameter of the ring in millimeters (mm).
3. Use the measurement chart above to match the size of your ring to the closest Queen Of Hearts size in mm. The interior of the ring should align with the outer edge of the circle.

Tips:

1. The ring should fit your finger comfortably: snug enough so it won't fall off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle with relative ease
2. When the knuckle is bigger than the base of the finger, measure both places and pick a size in between the two.
3. Measure your ring size at the end of the day when your fingers are warm. Finger size changes depending on the time of day and the weather, and your fingers are actually smaller in the early morning and in cold weather. Also, keep in mind that fingers on your dominant hand are usually larger.
4. Measure 2 to 3 times for more accuracy.
